You’re a… what?

He wasn’t sure what happened. One moment he was bracing himself for another blow- the monster that called itself his “guardian” crueler than usual tonight- and the next there was a rush of darkness, a hot, sticky spray of blood, and the sickening bellow he’d learned to be so terrified of was silenced.

Shakily opening his eyes, Nicholas fell back against the wall of the alley with a scream of his own.

Blood was everywhere, bits and pieces of the large man strewn among the trash, drenching everything a dark coppery-red… It was sickening, terrifying, and… And He was gone.

Bringing a hand up to his own blood-splattered face, Nicholas stared at the carnage, feeling himself nearly go numb, and began to laugh. It was strained, nearly hysterical, but a laugh nonetheless.

He was gone…!

A sudden noise interrupted his emotional collapse, the young child whirling around and shrinking back against the wall in fright, wide eyes half-mad in terror and body tensed and trembling. He barely even noticed the black smoke.

Breast Ornament in form of Solar Hawk

The solar hawk with disc on head, Ankh and Shen emblems in talons; inlaid after cloisonné fashion. The gold chased under surface has four rings attached to it for the suspension cord and tassels. It is made out of gold, carnelian and colored glass paste.

Scarab Bracelet of Tutankhamun

This rigid gold bracelet is composed of two semicircles joined together by a hinge on one side and a clasp on the other.

The central plaque bears a cloisonne scarab inlaid with lapis lazuli. The scarab, symbol of the morning sun, was the most popular motif used in jewelry.

The bracelet itself is also inlaid with carnelian, lapis lazuli, and colored glass. The small circumference of this bracelet suggests that it was made for Tutankhamun when he was a child.
