When that voice rang out behind him, lieutenant drew his weapons. Knowing the Plant wouldn’t be happy about it but he had to defend himself. No trust for Vash was left. Even if he still saw the other as Superior it didn’t matter. He wasn’t taking the risk.
Back against the buld as he watched Vash closely. Fear still resided inside the man. It caused his shoulder to ache slightly. Wide eyes made sure Vash wasn’t up to anything.
“Any story you have to tell is not worth hearing."
Vash raised his hands to show he meant no harm and stayed at arm’s reach. He had no intention to fight, after all. He never wanted to in the first place.
“All stories are worth telling, Luu… Even yours, you know? But it wasn’t mine I was talking about. I meant Theirs.” He nodded towards the bulb where the Plant had perked up at the sight of her Red Brother with a happy trill.

A heavy smack to the face sends Vash flying through the wall and out into the street in front of the public eye. He rolls in the dirt for a moment before finally stopping in the middle of the road, eyes shut tightly as his body roared in pain. He’d been caught off guard this time and he paid a heavy amount for it, but that didn’t keep him down.
Vash stands, his prosthetic to his arm as he glares at the building he was just flung from. Standing in the hole made in the side was a big ugly brute with muscles that made him look like his head was damn near ready to pop off.
“Don’t tell me this is Vash the Stampede! Look at you! I barely flicked you and already you’re limping like an injured puppy!” Vash ignores the man’s insult and says nothing, just studies them while his brain races for a way to end this quickly without getting anyone else hurt in the process. “Look at him,” The attacker points and guffaw’s, chin(s) jiggling as he did so. “What a wimp! What a goddamn coward! This is gonna be the easiest money I’ve made ever!”
At the mention of the outlaw’s name, all the cowering civilians began growing even more anxious, several making a terrified break for it. Vash the Stampede?! As if these bounty hunter THUGS weren’t bad enough!
Like a large portion of bounty hunters, these brutes were little better than bandits. The destruction of the town would mean little to them, proved by their reckless attacks on the Humanoid Typhoon…
…Only to be blocked by one very irate priest.
“Damn, you sure do manage to find the ugly ones, don’cha, Spikey?”

“What-?!” Shit! But he thought that had been disabled!!
It was his quick reflexes that saved him from a direct hit, though the Lieutenant had still succeeded in taking him by surprise and landing glancing strikes. Enough to put him at a distinct advantage.
Wolfwood quickly tried to get out of range, already feeling the effects of the chi-blocking on the Plant inside. Shit, this was bad.
“What the fuck’re you doing?! I-I thought…!” Hadn’t Vash cut him off from that ability?!
